Neil Silverwood writes and/or photographs regularly for the New Zealand Geographic and Wilderness magazine, and contributes to many other publications, both locally and internationally.
With friend and fellow caver, Marcus Thomas, he published a large format book about caving in New Zealand, check out Caves: Exploring New Zealand's Subterranean Wilderness. It recently won the 2018 Ockham New Zealand Book Awards JUDITH BINNEY BEST FIRST BOOK AWARD FOR ILLUSTRATED NON-FICTION and the 2018 GRAND PRIZE for books at the NZ Mountain Film and Book Festival.
The New Zealand Geographic awarded Neil Photographer of the Year for 2017.
